Marie-Paule Tano

Marie-Paule Tano is a Côte d'Ivoire-born, UK-based artist and designer whose practice spans jewelry, functional sculpture, and decorative objects rooted in her Afropean heritage.

Trained at Central Saint Martins and Holts Academy, she works across materials — bronze, wood, metal, and reclaimed objects — to translate cultural narratives, ancestral memory, and the interplay of African and Western influences into form.

Through her brand ROKUS, founded in 2013, and her expanding studio practice, Tano creates work that is at once deeply personal and broadly resonant.
